We all have a superhero inside of us -- it just takes a bit of magic to bring it out. In 14-year-old Billy Batson's case, all he needs to do is shout out one word to transform into the adult superhero Shazam. Still a kid at heart, Shazam revels in the new version of himself by doing what any other teen would do -- have fun while testing out his newfound powers. But he'll need to master them quickly before the evil Dr. Thaddeus Sivana can get his hands on Shazam's magical abilities.

It's an interesting departure for Swedish horror director David F. Sandberg (Annabelle: Creation, Lights Out), who proves he has more tricks up his sleeve than just things that go bump in the night. Go to Full Review

Pretty bland... A little too light, fluffy, and negligible. Go to Full Review

Shazam!” is easily one of the most fun superhero movies!! Zachary Levi was hilarious as the buff lightening-wielding goofy superhero. After the mega- success of Aquaman, DC is finally onto something. Go to Full Review

Every member of the cast gives a strong performance, but Zachary Levi steals the show. His whimsical attitude, reckless personality, and rich facial expressions are guaranteed to entertain you for most of the runtime. Go to Full Review

Mike 11/12/2022 Nice world building movie. It had elements for all ages to be entertained with and Zach Levi is always awesome. Can't wait for the sequel. See more Michael 11/03/2021 cool but it was missing some energy. need to improve costumes See more Zyllind . @Zyllind 3h It was mid they could have gotten a better actor for Shazam but instead we got a anti-Vax actor See more Chris S @Janomi 1d Shazam! is one of the DCEU's most charming surprises. Billy Batson's search for belonging gives the superhero adventure genuine emotional weight, while David F. Sandberg balances comedy, action, and heartfelt family moments with confidence. The humor grows naturally from a teenager suddenly discovering he's an adult superhero, making the premise consistently entertaining. Asher Angel and Zachary Levi convincingly portray different sides of the same character, with Levi's infectious enthusiasm perfectly capturing Billy's excitement and immaturity. Jack Dylan Grazer also steals several scenes as Freddy, bringing plenty of humor and heart. Dr. Sivana serves his purpose, but Mark Strong isn't given enough material to make the villain especially memorable. A few jokes also lean a little too heavily toward a younger audience. Even so, the film's likable cast, emotional core, and sense of fun make it one of DC's most enjoyable superhero movies. See more Roven B @cinnephile.01 4d watching it for the first time was pretty great, I've seen it several times since then and it does grow old FAST. there's just something about movies where young men get powers and they become reckless and then decide to play hero that does well in box offices. great movie to watch if you don't know what to watch See more Dylan H @Bweefi Jun 27 Not gonna lie this one was fun See more Read all reviews
