Both animal and human nostrils flare, and passion reigns in this classic romantic tragedy with Rudolph Valentino. The melodrama helps Valentino to nail down his Latin lover image while showing his acting chops, which some questioned.
Above average Valentino vehicle eclipsed by the 1941 remake.
This is definitely [Valentino's] best acting job.
This movie was boring, but at least I learned that people were concerned about animal cruelty in the twenties. If you like bull-fighting and sappy romance, though, you will enjoy this.

I loved this movie! The acting was awesome, and Rudolph Valentino had such sex appeal...the way he looked at the other woman...so HOT!!!
