Critic Reviews for Loverboy
Completely stupid, yet oddly amusing. Toss this into the Guilty Pleasures pile.
Loverboy is almost instantly forgettable, but it's the kind of movie that's perfect for a lazy summer afternoon.
Frantic, and not quite enjoyable.
Audience Reviews for Loverboy
In this movie Mcdreamy Proves to us that being a hooker is a positive and your girlfriend will forgive you as long as hijinks ensue. Oh and Sean Mcnamara play a great asshole rapist.More
Loverboy with Patrick Dempsey is a funny film when a young casanova tries to roamnce many older women...such as Kirstie Alley and Carrie Fisher...he gets of course into some trouble along the way.More
Patrick Dempsey plays a student whose father refuses to foot the bill for college because he is flunking. To show that he is responsible he takes a job at a pizza parlor, but soon becomes the favorite delivery boy for a bunch of lonely older women. The subject matter is a little more risqué than most teen movies from that 80's era, but it is handled in a fun manner and definitely not meant to be taken seriously. The young Patrick Dempsey was dreamy even back then and the fine supporting cast of actresses like Kristie Alley, Carrie Fisher and Barbara Carreras make the movie even more interesting. Maybe it's not such a positive message, but it's still a lot of fun to watch....More
