Movie Info

A woman finds that terror is literally just around the corner in this thriller. John (Ron Lea) and Mary (Linda Kozlowski) are a young couple expecting a child who purchase a beautiful old home in a quiet neighborhood from Myron (Rod Steiger), who lives in the house next door. What John and Mary don't know is that Myron is deeply disturbed and thinks Mary is the very image of his late mother, with whom Myron had a less than wholesome relationship. Myron becomes malignly obsessed with Mary and attempts to frighten her into a miscarriage, but Mary has a hard time convincing anyone that her neighbor is truly a menace and that she isn't just suffering from anxieties brought on by her pregnancy. The Neighbor was the first directorial assignment for former cinematographer Rodney Gibbons).more
