This film takes a version of the story of Argentine Eva Peron and translates it to Central Europe. Marina is an ambitious woman, and sleeps her way into power, becoming the mistress and finally the wife of the president of her country. She becomes perceived as saint-like, which is a great boost to her husband's career. Little Mother must've been an irresistible proposition for Metzger.
an Evita clone all the way down to the costumes -- just with a few orgies thrown in here and there -- and it's just as awful.
