Movie Info

Marie McLaughlin is stunning as the doomed 19th century Paris courtesan Violetta in this opulent production of Giuseppe Verdi's timeless classic, performed at the Glyndebourne Festival Opera. Walter MacNeil plays Violetta's lover, Alfredo, and Brent Ellis portrays Alfredo's father, Germont. The production was directed by Sir Peter Hall and conducted by Bernard Haitink.
