Eddie Murphy has made a lot of action-packed cop movies. The Beverly hill cop films. 48 hours. This is another one. In the cop genre films he does an beyond awesome job as an actor. This is a pretty good cop-com film. Robert de Niro is really good at deadpan humor. Eddie Murphy's humor is more hyperactive. Or on hyperspeed. And he has an infectious laugh. Eddie Murphy plays an actor who wants to be a detective. Robert de Niro is a seasoned detective who unwillingly has to become an actor on Hollywood version of a cop show. This movie has action, comedy, & drama. This film is definitely watching more than once.

Filme legal, o roteiro é bacana, a dupla do eddie Murphy junto com o robert de Niro é bacana, esse negócio de show foi legal, e achei legal as cenas de ação, e eu recomendo esse filme.

A humorous buddy-cop film that unfortunately doesn't really ever go anywhere substantial. I wasn't expecting high art here, but the "plot" as it was, never felt like it had a driving force. The antagonist was weak and severely underwritten and the second half of the movie felt extremely formulaic. It is a shame too because Eddie Murphy and De Niro worked fairly well together, all things considered and there were plenty of funny moments throughout.
