Movie Info
School's out, exams are over, and it's time for real life to begin. But before 12 friends from the International High School in Prague disappear to the four corners of the earth, they intend to throw the best party of their lives. The idea to stage the party in Prague's biggest swimming pool is illegal but cool. And when Gregor, the laid-back leader of the group thinks an idea is good, then no-one else from the group objects. Reunindo um elenco internacional de atores medíocres (dirigidos por um estreante incompetente), o filme tem um roteiro tão absurdo que nem mesmo a heroína acredita quando descobre o motivo por trás dos assassinatos. Imagine, então, o espectador.
A generic international version of a typical American horror film.
The Pool drowned me in boredom.
Director Boris von Sychowski instead opts for a routine slasher film that was probably more fun to make than it is to sit through.
Literally nothing in The Pool is new, but if you grew up on the stalker flicks of the 1980's this one should appease you for 90 minutes.
I guess it just goes to show that if you give a filmmaker an unlimited amount of phony blood, nothing good can happen.

The setting of the film inside a huge Swimming pool complex is quite cool, and there are some interesting kills (you'll think twice before descending a pool slide again), but we've seen it all before and seen it done better.
Fans of the "Slasher" genre may find it a worthwhile purchase, others may find it a tired and repetitive waste of time.
