Directed by Mark Neale, Faster revolves around a world as competitive as it is dangerous: championship motorcycle racing. Filmed throughout the 2001 and 2002 seasons, the documentary delves into the 16 races held annually; these competitions culminate in the naming of a single champion. A must-see for gearheads and rewarding for the uninitiated.
Problem is, after an hour and a half of Faster, I still don't get motor sports.
A loud, choppily edited and surprisingly unengaging portrait of speed demons.
A kind of bone-crushing fun, but there's little drama and certainly no insight.
If you consider hurtling along at insane speeds inches from the asphalt to be a tad eccentric, the riders of MotoGP may just fit the bill.

[The film] is so un-Hollywood, so unadorned, that its insights smack of real life
A competently-made treatment, though it does grow a bit repetitious over the long haul and doesn't end with the sort of rousing triumph the filmmaker seems to have hoped for.

A bland, straightforward documentary about an insane sport.
Serves as an insightful primer for the uninitiated.
This film is legit. Takes you into the world of perhaps the world?s most dangerous sport, and opens a new door of respect for motorcycle racing. After viewing this film I truly believe that MotoGP is the hardest motor sport out there. It?s amazing how they put this into perspective over racing cars, 80% driver, and 20%
