...a tedious and hopelessly irrelevant endeavor that overstays its welcome by at least a full hour.
It's gritty, raw, emotional, engaging, and very effective. It's impossible to sit through this film and not be moved. A big WOW.
The title refers to a quote form a masterpiece movie from the 1970's. I am not going to give it away. This is an extremely hard-hitting drama about men living in a L.A. recovery home (halfway house) for alcohol/drug addiction. Incredible cast brings such real life to this movie. GRITTY, REALISTIC AND SURPRISINGLY WELL ACTED. DISTURBING AND VERY BELIEVABLY PRESENTED. UNPLEASANT, BUT YOU DO CARE ABOUT THE CHARACTERS, ENGROSSING AND VERY WELL DONE.
