Supposedly inspired by events experienced by director John Murlowski, Black Cadillac centers on a trio of friends who are left stranded after their car malfunctions on a winding mountain roadway. Although they are fortunate enough to happen upon a deputy, they are constantly menaced by the headlights of the title vehicle. Soon the environs and the friends' frayed emotions make their struggle as difficult as the troublesome car does. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

It doesn't measure up to its influences, to be sure, but on its own, it stands as a nifty, doable chase picture.
Black Cadillac offers little more than kinetic chases, a few solid laughs, and Randy Quaid at his most enjoyable - but surely that's good enough.
This is a good Steve King Story made into a movie, Not one of the best but a good one, supposed to be a true story, set up in Minnesota, thought all Stephen King Movies were in Maine, also never did see Stephen King do a cameo in this movie, if you did, let me know where he is, Randy Quaid played a great part.
