In the wake of her grandmother's funeral, hotel manager Lisa Reisert is waiting to fly back home when she meets charming Jackson Rippner at check-in. She thinks it luck that they're seated together on the plane, but soon learns otherwise. Jackson hopes to assassinate the head of Homeland Security, but to do so, he needs Lisa to reassign the official's room number at her hotel. As insurance, Jackson has kidnapped Lisa's father.

When taking place at the airport and on a plane, “Red Eye” is pitch perfect. The cloistered space and confined quarters ratchets up the suspense, often to uncomfortable (but welcomed) levels.

Much better than the Rotten Tomatoes rating that's in the 60's range. It's fast paced and is a better than average thriller.

This is a bad movie. The score is terrible and doesn't fit with the movie. Wes Craven must've thought this was a Freddy movie. Certain scenes were wildly unrealistic and the overall plan of the villains was royally stupid. Rachel MacAdams wasn't very good and Cillian Murphy was wildly disappointing. They also tried to make the female too strong of a character and screwed up the realism. This whole thing was a mess. I hated every minute of it and watched and laughed as though it was Sharknado or something.

One of Rachel McAdam's best movie A great suspense movie which keeps you on the edge of your seat on how she is going to get out of the predicament she is in. Cillian Murphy was great also. He played an excellent villain.

A completely over the top almost contrived plot where the terrorist sets out to kill a politician by blowing up his hotel room by launching a missile from a fishing boat! Really? So many times I found my self yelling at the screen at the dumb actions of the characters. But if you can overlook that it's a good watchable action movie.
