When he realizes that Sebastian (David Boreanaz) is no different from the rest, John forces him work off his rent debt. This leads to the inadvertent death of Sebastian, who leaves in his wake a brilliant, unpublished piece of writing. A guilty John vows to get the book published as a sort of apology, but he can't help but take credit for the work when it becomes a hit.
