OBSESSED falls flat with Beyoncé as a LEAD actress. This proves that singers canNOT be actors/actresses.

The ending was predictable, as they always are in these types of films. Although, must admit that it kept me on the edge of my seat towards the end and Ali Larter played a fantastic physcopath, loved her perfomance and Beyonce wasn't as bad of an actress as I thought she would be.

Cast: Beyoncé Knowles, Idris Elba, Ali Larter, Christine Lahti, Bruce McGill, Scout Taylor-Compton, Ron Roggé, Jerry O'Connell, Richard Ruccolo, Dana Cuomo, Candice Cunningham

Director: Steve Shill

Summary: Derek Charles (Idris Elba) seems to have it all -- including the perfect job and the perfect wife (Beyoncé Knowles). But his charmed life takes on an ugly tarnish when sexy office worker Lisa Sheridan (Ali Larter) sets out to seduce and destroy him. Now, it's much more than a dangerous liaison; it's a full-blown occupational hazard.

My Thoughts: "Simply, it was bad. Bad everything. Directing, plot, acting, and even the fight scene was bad. Beyonce really needs to work on her facial expressions. During the fight scene her face made it hard for me not to laugh. She looked a bit constipated. The story is predictable and a little boring. Even the scary suspense music was awful. The film was just trying too hard to be something more then what it was."

Derek is a successful professional with the perfect job, wife and child. He becomes the victim of sexual harassment when a temp targets him. Good thriller. It's like Fatal Attraction. Good soundtrack. Ali Larter gives a good performance but Beyonce's acting is pretty lame.

"Obsessed" stars Beyonce Knowles (Sharon) and Idris Elba (Derek) as a couple whose marriage is threatened by a sexy new office temp (Ali Larter) who relentlessly stalks Derek.
It's a movie of deception, love, and ambition that has gone horribly wrong, until the fatal ending !

The Crush meets Hand That Rocks The Cradle. It has the worst acting ever in it, but it's a total Lifetime movie, which I sorta love. There is no way the husband is that in to Beyonce and her bleach blonde eyebrows. Even I would bang Ali Larter.

I really did not enjoy this movie at all. The pacing seemed really off for the movie, and I didn't really like the actors either. I also think that the "problem" of Ali Larter's character really wasn't that big of a deal. Just get a restraining order already and stop whining about it.

The script also was a huge letdown for me. "You think you know crazy? I'll show you crazy, bitch!" Ugh, kill me now. That entire scene actually was pretty cheesy and overly dramatic. There was way more drama than need be.

Ali Larter's character didn't even seem like a threat, she never had weapons or anything at any time throughout the movie, the only time she fought back was when Beyonce attacked her. It really wasn't that interesting. Most of the movie was just about a hot blonde chick running around trying to steal an already married man. It was really not worth my time.

Very good movie. It reminded me off Fatal Attraction & The Hand That Rocks The Cradle.

Certainly nothing new here - seen Swimfan, seen Malicious, seen this. However, having said that, I do have a weakness for the genre of freaky psycho chick thrillers and I found this one perfectly enjoyable Sunday afternoon viewing.

A kinda glossy TV film version of Fatal attraction. The film has a good style to it and is well made but the plot is a bit slow and it needed a bit more drama, tension to it. A toned down version of other similar thrillers that have already done this story better would sum this up.

Take the basics of Fatal Attraction, Swimfan, Notes on a Scandal, even The Cable Guy, mix them all together, then throw in this Beyoncé with an i'm-gonna-kick-your-ass-bitch attitude, and you'll have this mediocre little thriller.

When it comes to derivative, generic, formula-laden movies, usually you can predict every step of the plot with great accuracy from the trailer. Obsessed may be the first movie I could predict every moment based just from seeing the poster. This poor man?s Fatal Attraction follows a surprise-free trip to the end credits. Idris Elba is a family man who is harassed and stalked by his increasingly psychotic temp/temptress (Ali Larter). The movie doesn?t even have the temerity to have its lead cheat on his wife. There?s an interracial angle that is never really dealt with, meaning that the lone plot detail separating Obsessed from its peers is also swept under the rug. Everything here is borrowed from better movies with more style, substance, and heat. Larter doesn?t work as an antagonist or a figure of lust. She acts like a disinterested and icy when she should be flirty and smoldering. The plot quickly gets ludicrous as Larter?s repeated seduction attempts get brazen and confrontational. It strains credibility that Elba would keep trying to keep things under wraps. This girl needs to be referred to the police. Alas, I suppose these stalker thrillers wouldn?t be as interesting if people reacted realistically to psychotic behavior. Beyonce Knowles is the angry wife who gets to exact vengeance during the movie?s all-out, hair-pulling climactic catfight. But it?s a long slog until that catfight.

A reworking of Fatal Attraction with strong performances and a decent climax that just about compensates for the film's failures in pacing and plotting.

What I love most about Obsessed is that it makes no sense. I could give you a long, drawn out plot synopsis or I could just ask you if you have seen either Play Misty For Me or Fatal Attraction. You have? Well now you have the basic plot except in those two films there's an actual relationship between the stalker and the stalkee. In Obsessed the psycho (Ali Larter) sees her prey (Idris Elba) on an elevator and the fun begins! Throw in Beyonce as the wife that's as psychotic as the stalker and you get a craptastic ride on a script that should have been written on toilet paper. I was on the edge of my seat because I wanted to see how stupid the stalkee was going to be in his next scene. Let this be a lesson to all of you guys out there: when a blond molests you in the mens room stall and you resist because you're a married man, please tell your wife. Otherwise you're going to have to explain how said blond is naked and OD'd in your hotel room. Unless your with the Rolling Stones.

Hottie Ali Larter channels the legendary Glenn Close in the Fatal Attraction-esque thriller film. The trailer seemed great to me, however in this film is a bit bloody boring as it wasn't so much down time between interesting scenes. Three main characters, Ali Later fits in her completely role, but Idris Elba and Beyone Knowles are average as I believe Beyonce seems to be actually trying too hard to "act" and again gets in trouble.
Then there's the howling, scathing catfight between Ali and Beyonce, whoo-hoo!!! Little blood is shown.

I accually found this movie very entertaining! Yes, its a stupid movie but if u watch it with ur friends its hilarious!!! The Cat fight between Beyonce and Ali larter, tho rediculous, made us yell and scream @ the tv like we accually were at a wresting/smackdown fight. Not a good movie, but throughly entertaining!
