This movie has everything. The cast has great chemistry and for anyone who has been around the industry can tell you it's not too far off or exaggerated. Russell Brand is a perfect rockstar with mannerisms and overblown ego and sense of grandiosity while also walking the line of being a lonely soul with a decent heart. Jonah Hill plays a fantastic doting fan\talen manager that's meeting his long time idol and being along for the ride while also trying to be the voice of reason in the room. The movie is infintely quotable as most great comedies are. The cast ,especially Hill and Brand have terrific chemistry and the story always stays on point as the title states. It's a buddy adventure between a larger than life superstar and a lackey fan boy doting over him until the think veil of his larger than life image is peeled back. The movie is very reminiscent of something like Almost famous but less biographical feel and more of a comedy . The gags are very unique and not tropey and towards the end you feel that genuine investment into the characters and world that apatow films are known for. My only wish was that there was a bigger connection to forgetting Sarah Marshall , maybe a Jason Segel Cameo or a little more call backs but perhaps that's just my personal choice and not what's best for the movie .
