A decade after the sheriff of Dead River, Maine killed a murderous clan of cannibalistic savages, the nightmare returns to the sleepy small town in this brutal screen adaptation of Jack Ketchum's terrifying novel (originally penned as a follow-up to his 1980 fiction debut Off-Season). Ketchum adapts his novel for the screen in a film directed by Andrew Van Den Houten (who previously produced the feature adaptation of Ketchum's The Girl Next Door). ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Offspring is as lame as they come.
For whatever reason, these Jack Ketchum adaptations never gel for me. This one has moments, but still fails to build suspense. The cast is game.

This is from the Ghost House Underground Series, and this is by far there grosses movie to date. This is extreme slasher, and pretty gross. Hate little horror kids and this one is jammed pack with them. Worst then the move little children, would keep this one out of the hands of expecting mothers. 4 stars
