See more Nicole James I @RT24140888 Jun 14 Poor acting for some of the main characters. The actions made in the movie were frustratingly annoying; the kids took the cake for this one. Dumb officers WITH GUNS in the lab getting bitten and chewed by ONE RAGE? Kids going to their house in the first place (no tight security)? Unsecured containment zone? Very illogically frustrating and dumb movie. Wish I could rate it lower. See more Ian S @RT48225084 May 29 Good cast with not a lot to do. Renner was probably the pick of the actors. A few effective early scenes and a mind boggling scene later with a helicopter but overall a pretty patchy sequel. It also reiterated, as seen in real life with the Covid outbreak, that human selfishness and stupidity effects everyone, especially during a pandemic. Watchable at best. However i feel like this movie peaks at the opening scene and falls flat the rest of the way. The through line of the dad just popping up over and over again made me roll my eyes. See more Nate F. @NateRiver729 May 22 This film is only a downgrade from the previous generic installment, suffering from the same faults as the first, with some new faults of its own. Story is basic, premise is generic, and the characters are as dumb as you would expect them to be. The good atmosphere from the first installment continues in this one, which is good, considering that was the best part of the first film. Of course, being a zombie film means you have to be generic in everything you do. While the rest of the movie suffers from the same blandness, the opening shows what could’ve been, with a great beginning hook that sets you up for disappointment.
