Made for French television as part of an award winning film series exploring adolescence, ACCIDENTAL HERO (PETIT HOMME) is a story of teenage rebellion and coming of age. Tom has been raised by his working mother, an airline attendant, both having been abandoned by his father before he was born. The young man has had little discipline, with his mother often away for days at a time and no father figure to look up to. When his mother goes into a coma and awakens with amnesia, Tom feels guilty for the way he has treated her and tries to prompt her memory to return. At the same time, he discovers where his paternal grandparents live, and must decide whether to try contacting them or spare his mother her most painful memory, the departure of his father. ACCIDENTAL HERO is the story of an unruly and angry young man who must grow into manhood for his own and his mother's sake. [More]
