James H @RT51557711 Jan 12 Learnt so much about life from watching this as a Kid, as an adult the whole animal cruelty needed to make the film reduces the film creation ethically, but everything else, story from start to finish is an amazing acomplishment. It is a fantastically simple romp about a cat and dog building a friendship as children, and reuniting in adulthood as friends. The narrative is straightforward: curious Milo gets carried down a river in a box, and his loyal friend Otis embarks on a long, perilous journey to find him. As far as the animal abuse allegations, all are unfounded. Unless evidence comes to light that anything bad happened, my children will continue to enjoy this heartwarming film. After knowing what happened to the animals that was dark . I might not watch it anymore. See more Zixmix B @RT31097317 Mar 30 This movie was my childhood. I named my first cat Milo. But I also love the silly voice over done by the narrator for all the animal, the charming story in general and the wild tale of these two unlikely friends who get caught up in an adventure trying to reunite and then go home again. Only four and a half stars though because of two things. One, now that I’m older I totally can tell they used a lot of different cats as the main character (I think maybe I just know cats better now that I have had a few and all those tabbies have different patterns, lol) and two because oh my gosh I forgot they literally SHOWED THE BIRTH of some animals on this movie. Wild. As a kid I think I either was just like, “Ew that happened” or was fascinated and then thought the kittens were cute haha! But it definitely was not expected. See more Read all reviews
