Agent Cody Banks has a TV movie feel to it. The special effects are kind of hokey, the jokes pretty lame and the stunts looked like they're performed by stunt performers.

To his family and friends, Cody Banks (Frankie Muniz) is a typical teen - he loves to skateboard, hates math, and feels like a complete idiot around girls. But Cody's got a secret - he's actually part of a secret teen CIA program.
Cody's living every boy's dream life - he can drive like a stuntman, has an incredible arsenal of cool gadgets, and his agency mentor, Ronica Miles (Angie Harmon), is totally hot. But Cody's training is put to the test when he's sent to pose as a prep school student and befriend fellow teen Natalie Connors (Hilary Duff) in order to gain access to her father, a scientist unknowingly developing a fleet of deadly nanobots for the evil organization ERIS. From runaway cars and high-speed snowboard chases to a spectacular final mountaintop showdown, Cody has to use everything he's learned to prove himself as an agent and stop ERIS... and maybe even get the girl.

Reviews for Agent Cody Banks
Agent Cody Banks provides the kind of high-quality entertainment one would expect in an adult action adventure that is expected to rake in major bucks.
A mundane, kid-empowerment fantasy distinguished only by Frankie Muniz's agreeable blend of haplessness and heroics.
Banks takes a nice premise and does absolutely nothing original with it, instead burdening a plot derived from too many James Bond movies with cheap special effects and flat jokes.
[Muniz] keeps Cody Banks watchable on energy alone but his scenes with the pallid, uncharismatic Duff are as dull as watching two actual pubescents meet at the mall.
This movie is so wearying in its mediocrity, the inappropriate Ronica almost registers as dramatic relief. I said almost.
So slick and preprogrammed that even its preteen audience may dismiss it as formula.
Sorely lacking in suspense, humor or originality, Agent Cody Banks aspires to the lowest rung of the peanut gallery.
Kids attending Agent Cody Banks won't need candy. The film itself is a 90-minute sugar rush.
The movie will be compared with the two Spy Kids pictures, and looks more expensive and high-tech but isn't as much fun.
[Muniz] has an endearing blend of self-deprecation, innocence and smarts that works well here.
This elaborate and good-natured entertainment is never as funny as it should be, but it's also never wanting for energy.
This Frankenfilm comes lumbering out of the laboratory of the Danish director Harald Zwart, any trace of personality surgically removed and replaced by a fully road-tested cliche.
Agent Cody Banks may be targeted at teens, but even their grandparents might consider it fun.
Had the movie chosen to go the campy route, Muniz probably would have shined, using his face and vacant delivery to their fullest potential. But most of the time, everything is played ridiculously straight.
