This comedy pivoting around a Los Angeles home-security business was adapted by director Evan Dunsky from a play by Keith Reddin. Heinrich Grigoris (Stanley Tucci) welcomes new employee Tommy Hudler (David Arquette) to Grigoris Security. During his first day on the job, Tommy sells a system and then goes to bed with his customer, single mother Gale Ancona (Kate Capshaw). First-time filmmaker Dunsky doesn't always know where to place his camera to maximize the edgy humor that lurks near the script's surface.
Good movie, good plot, excellent cast. As sad as this may sound, as funny as the movie can be, it is also serious. Someone who installs a security system of some sort may actually break into your house or car.

Childish and obvious; stuttering continuity and mediocre all round. Maybe titivated the teenage fantacists; this doesn't get under the skin of the characters. But the actors didn't stand a chance.
