Charming caper film with JoBeth Williams obviously having fun and the wonderful Coral Browne in support.

story is a bit weak, and it is hard to believe. But you can stop asking questions and take the film for the nonsence it is and escape a crapy day, trust me her's is a lot worse

Resoundingly generic "Romancing the Stone" copycat.

I have watched this movie about 20 times. I love it. It's fantasy, but lots of fun!

2010 now and this is a 1984 production. Why then, as sort of a movie buff, do I find myself coming back over and over to see this again? I'll tell you.
I like to be entertained. I don't care if the plot or the scenes stretch my imagination. The dialogue has to be witty and clever. The characters have to appear to play their roles seriously even when it's all a sketch. I can laugh out loud over and over in the kitchen scene and the moving table scene in the restaurant and the endless surprise reactions by Tom Conti as Rebecca Ryan races through this balmy, comical, bizarre mystery. Everyone is wonderful. Each time at the credits, I find myself with another wide smile.
Not learning anything, just enjoying movie life. 2010 and I still love it.

This is a light-hearted, funny movie. I have enjoyed watching over and over. The cast works well together and it cannot be taken seriously.

JoBeth Williams is a delight and very well cast. Entertaining film, nothing deep or significant but very enjoyable and fun to watch. The plot is clever.
