Because of the high population and barbaric conditions found in Union prisons during the Civil War, President Lincoln allowed some of the captured Confederate soldiers to enlist in the Union forces. These new men in blue were not given infantry work, but instead patrolled the American West. Lee Travis, a former Confederate spy, is one of these men. He has to restore order to a town bullied by the sadistic sheriff, Tom Rile. Travis, always good with a pistol, must face Rile on his own violent level.
