If you haven’t seen it before, then you won’t have that nostalgic feeling and that sucks for you because let me tell YOU — this film is a treasure. Especially if you grew up in the hood or poor — You can relate. Chasing fame, losing love and yourself along the way, but then finding yourself and learning what really matters. This film makes me laugh every time I see it. It has rememberable lines that get funnier each and every time. I’m sorry but Roger Ebert and the rest got this film wrong. They were just spoiled with good films of 1997 like Titanic and My Best Friends Wedding at the time. How is My Best Friends Wedding better than this? It seems the same caliber just in different respects. It holds up. Both great films, but this one in particular was overlooked and underrated. I kind of lost some respect for Roger Ebert for him and his weird buddy giving it 0 stars. Living large living in charge big boooiiii! 💅 I watch this movie at least once a year. See more 05/18/2022 B.A.P.S. is a cult classic because it follows the classic tale of trying to achieve fame and fortune, yet lines begin to blur when happiness and morals get in the way. It's hilarious. A staple in time that no one would ever want to forget. It's underrated. Yet the film never fails to disappoint or shy away from a happy ending for doing what is right. I remember watching this film as a young teen and felt captured by these two brilliantly talented women working with the script and cameras, then giving it all they got.
