Ross Johnson heads a group that makes a $17.6 billion bid to buy his own company, Nabisco. He personally stands to earn millions of dollars if the deal goes through. Henry Kravis, of the investment firm Kohlberg, Kravis, Roberts & Co., gets wind of the bid and makes a counter offer of $20 billion.
