Their [Suicide Squad] fun interactions and clashing character dynamics keep the energy levels high so you won't even notice that Batman's appearances are being saved only for special occasions.
DC Entertainment thrills with one of its boldest and mature films yet while finally figuring out the secret to telling engaging and fun adventures of DC Comic characters beyond Batman and the Justice League.
The title says "Batman" and his face takes up most of the box art, but this is less an adaptation of the Batman/Arkham video games than a straight-up Suicide Squad movie.
Audience Reviews for Batman: Assault on Arkham
A fantastic and wickedly enjoyable action-packed animated movie. It's packed with suspense, action and surprises and some really enjoyable characters. A fun movie that makes for a great time killer and a good time for fans of the Arkham universe and characters. I loved it, I enjoyed that it didn't entirely revolve around Batman, that he was more of a secondary character and was doing what he had to and it concentrated more on our villain's and anti-heroes of the story. It totally rocks.

They should have named it Suicide Squad rather than Batman because he is barely in it and some people will loose interest quickly, but it is an interesting addition to the Arkham storyline. It definitely caught me off guard at times with the amount of bloody violence and sexual content that Batman has never had in any film I've seen. It felt completely out of character for the series, which is again why they should have named it something else. It has quality animation and the voice talent is top notch like always, but this feels out of place. If you are familiar with the Suicide Squad and are interested than watch it, but Batman fans might feel like this is a little too far.
