Logic is in short supply. Burned-out cities have electricity, for example. My favorite: A hangar full of jets, buried under 1,000 years of dust, not only fire up instantly but still have full tanks of gas.

Not awful, but pretty bad. A third-string Planet of the Apes meets Star Trek, Battlefield Earth is a largely uninspiring sci-fi adventure with a Swiss-cheese plot.

Nothing so entertaining, albeit in none of the right ways, should scrape WOAT status. It's not even one of the 10 worst films from 2000, a distressingly dunderheaded year for movies in general after one of the best ever.

This was an absolute train wreck, as the movie that it was intended. But it’s a phenomenal comedy. I recommend watching it at least once in your lifetime.

I think this movie was watchable and had a good concept. I found it funny and extremely campy. For that and the interesting concept it gets three and half stars. Film reminds me of a grindhouse flick - you kind of just go with it and enjoy it. Now for the bad..... where to start.... Well the CGI was atrocious, the acting was uninspired, the plot holes are a mile wide. LMAO... Camera "work" was just bad. How did they get the planes fueled up? How did they train so many pilots in 7 days? How did everyone get weapons training so fast? Yeah Idk lol. But they did so WOO!! Why was there so little Psychlo world building? It still get 3.5 stars for being memorable and humorously bad.

I don't care what anyone says. I enjoyed this one. It's so bad, it's good! A shame, really, because the story was quite good. Perhaps it was just ahead of it's time and the CGI just didn't pull it off well. It's mainly a scale issue, I'm guessing.

Thinking the terrible reviews might have an anti-scifi bias, I sat down to watch this. Nope, it’s just a horrendously bad movie, derived from an equally bad book written by the master of bad scifi, L. Ron Hubbard. When I was in grade school I read almost all the scifi books in our local library. I’d take them home five at a time and bring them back in a couple days or so to reload. When I hit the L. Ron Hubbard novels, I thought they were pulpy, ridiculous schlock. That was more than 60 years ago. Even as a little kid I knew bad writing when I saw it. Now we can add this movie to the list.

Some movies are just "watch them for the LOL's". Have fun with it, that sort of thing. If the campy-ness and silliness make you smile, even on the inside, it's a success. I enjoyed this movie a lot!
