An offbeat comedy about sex and drugs, BLOWIN' SMOKE focuses on two twentysomething friends, David (Josh Hamilton) and Freak (Steve Zahn), who have both finished college and who aren't doing much of anything now that they've moved back to Syracuse, NY. David spends his time working an awful job at the mall, evading his girlfriend, and pining over the beautiful Nichole. Freak, however, spends most of his time smoking pot, with or without David, and crafting some bizarre diatribes on sex. David, meanwhile, faces a dilemma when Nichole informs him that she has broken up with her boyfriend. Realizing his life is going nowhere, David decides that he must do something with himself and wonders if going after Nichole is the right place to start. [More]
