Movie Info

A lonely man's life is changed when a big white dog enters his world. Juan Villegas loses his job at a petrol station and ends up taking on odd jobs. One customer pays him not with cash but with Bombon: a large, white, ferocious-looking dog that is meek and accommodating. Villegas learns that the animal has the pedigree to win international shows, as well as becomes a breeding attraction, but Bombon would rather share his bitches' berth than satisfy their lust.more

It's a bit of a shaggy dog story, with threads that go nowhere, but nobody's in a hurry, and it's easy to go along for the ride.

[Juan Villegas'] vulnerability is so unforced that you can't help being touched.

Audience Reviews for Bombon: El Perro

A very simple story and a very uplifting one. The lead Juan Villegas (who, like most of the rest of the cast is not a professional) gives a great subtle, captivating performance. Overall a very charming film
