Enter Pamela Landey with a white hot interest in Treadstone. It's a very interesting sequel if you like the series. Be advised that this rating was later changed for the violence. It's very entertaining and well-acted. But there is a LOT more shaky cam and fast editing this time around. It's constant and very distracting. Unfortunately, Marie is killed off very early in the movie. I'd argue that this death would've been more effective if it happened halfway through the story. For better or worse, the film's presentation is very influential for modern action flicks (shaky cam, fast editing, gray muted color palette, stock background music, and white location title cards). There are so many quick cuts during many action scenes that it's often disorienting and hard to tell what's going on. For a while, Jason Bourne is on his own with few people to bounce off on for dialogue. The new CIA antagonist is solid and the actress has a great commanding delivery. The film has a thinner story and characterization than the first one. But it's still a fairly entertaining and well-acted action film.
