See more 04/28/2013 I quite enjoyed this movie. It's not the normal genre I would be attracted to but boredom drew me in and it was an enjoyable romp. Nice to see some of my former favourite actors and actresses still working and in a decent enough film about the older generation. Better than one would expect. See more 07/09/2011 I just saw this film tonight and thought it was great. It had moments of melancholy and humor, the scenery and characters were attractive, and I felt it realistically portrayed the shock, desperation, joy and freedom of dating at age 50 and beyond. Good actors throughout, this is one of the few movies I could stand to watch a second time. I thought it was a delightful detour from the same old cut and dried "Romantic Comedy for older folks". AND for those of us who grew up in the 50's and 60's, the SoundTrack is great too! See more 02/13/2010 FANTASTIC SHOW!!!! This is one of the best movies I've ever seen - right up there with Grouchy Old Men and Cocoon. I LOVED IT so much I've watched it at LEAST four times in the last few years....I have only one complaint on the movie.....where are the SEQUELS???? I want to know what is happening with the girls. It's been FOUR YEARS now and you still haven't finished the next sequel? Why NOT??? There are sooooo many things they could be doing - each of them - that I'd like to be a part of..... This movie made me want to go find the neighborhood they lived in and join the bereavement club .... and my husband is still alive .... just to meet all the ladies.... :^) See more 12/10/2009 If you decide to do yourself a favor and watch this movie i don't think you'll be disappointed. I must warn you there is a brief bit of nudity when Sally Ketterman bares it all. She was "Hot Lips Houlihan" on MASH. This is a movie about people who meet each other at a Bereavement Group for elderly people in a retirement community in Florida. So if you are not getting on in years, if you didn't watch MASH, if you can't relate to people who have lost their spouse - then this movie might not be for you. We found it entertaining, and truly funny at times. It seemed to be about the lives of real people with real problems. It did not pass the "Anne test". I'll have to say the person who did make up for this movie really failed with Dyan Cannon and Sally Kellerman. YUCK! See more Read all reviews
