BROTHER BEAR 2: MOOSE ON THE LOOSE, the sequel to 2003's animated children's hit BROTHER BEAR, features voice work by some of today's hottest stars, including GREY'S ANATOMY'S Patrick Dempsey, as well as Mandy Moore and Wanda Skyes. In this chapter, Kenai emerges after hibernating all winter and is very hungry. Wanting to take his little brother Koda with him to find some berries at Crowberry Ridge, Kenai keeps getting distracted by his friends Rutt and Tuke, who are busy trying to woo two moosettes, but failing miserably. So the brothers are on their way, until Kenai's old friend Nita turns up looking for his help. Kenai must change his plans in order to assist Nita in burning an amulet he gave her years before. Thus a great journey begins, with the three finding adventure all along the way. BROTHER BEAR 2 features original music by Melissa Etheridge. [Less]

  • We're back in an all-new movie, eh? Beauty. And not just us moose but the large bear (that's Kenai) and his little brother bear (that's Koda) and also this new girl named Nita. She's a handful, eh? Nita knew Large Bear way back when he wasn't a bear. That was in the first movie, remember? Anyway, they thought they were gonna be together forever even though they get along like two angry beavers in a mud hut. Okay, so, now the Great Spirits say they have to go on a great big, exciting journey to break the pact. So don't trample off. Join me and my brother -- oh, and there's a couple fetching moosettes in this story, too --? for all sorts of laughs and wild adventure. (See what I did. I used the word "wild" 'cause we're out in the woods.) Beauty. It's gonna be tons of fun for the whole family, eh?

the return of Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis as the idiot moose is nice, if not a little forced

... triste constatar que a magia e a sensibilidade do primeiro filme foram substituídas por clichês, uma história ridícula e sentimentalismo barato.

Sequels are often disappointing, but 'Brother Bear 2' is a keeper, mostly because of its charming story and extraordinary background music.

While not nearly as memorable as its predecessor, Brother Bear 2 has plenty going for it.

...does not quite compare to some of Disney's finest animated work in terms of story or character, but it surely holds its own in terms of artwork and sound design.

The texture and polish is deeply missed, but the characters are so strong and engaging, it still entertains.
