The vaguest way I can describe it is Tscherakassy making a Mekas sort of diary film. Noren toys with light and darkness like its nobody else's business. There is a extremely sensual amorphous quality to the images, like one of those trance films but way more intense. The camera focuses closeups of Noren and his wife's skin, fabric, pages in a book, surface of water, etc and the light and shadows caressing these surfaces give the impression that light itself is the basic material, not flesh, fabric, or paper.
