Cone-headed extraterrestrials Beldar (Dan Aykroyd) and Prymaat (Jane Curtin) find themselves in New Jersey after a recon mission for their home planet of Remulak goes awry. Stranded, they are forced to live as typical suburban humans. Beldar gets a job, and daughter Connie (Michelle Burke) grows up to be a typical, if oddly shaped, teenager. When INS agents start investigating the family and Beldar receives sinister orders from Remulak, the Coneheads must decide where their allegiance lies.

OMG! I cannot believe the negative reviews by critics and audience! I loved this movie so much that I bought the DVD and watch it once a year. I have learned that humor is very subjective for different folks, Do people want R rated comedies with foul language and sex? I don't. Coneheads is a family friendly FUNNY movie that even my wife likes. Two thumbs way up!

I don't know where the hate comes from. I found the movie very funny and so did many of my friends. All of the cast performs quite well. I particularly liked David Spade's character as the unctuous, sycophantic assistant to Michael McKean's immigration official. But all of the cast is great, even a bit part by Michael Richards as a clueless hotel clerk made me laugh. To critics and other haters, what was so bad about the movie? I didn't find it inert or slow and frankly don't know what they are talking about, I could watch it again and still laugh. 7/10

Another example of how to do a popular skit from Saturday night live and turn it into an enjoyable comedy. This is a funny story of 2 aliens crashing on earth and are forced to live there until they can be rescued. Despite their big heads they make friends fast and eventually have a daughter. Farley and Schneider are just a few snl legends to appear in this classic comedy. Tim Treakle

Synopsis
