Completing the trail of cryptic clues simply becomes an end in and of itself -- think Sudoku: The Movie -- with little in the way of whimsy, star chemistry or excitement to enliven the dour plod.

The history and facts it claims to be true grow less factual and more fantasy the longer this movie plays. If you think this movie will reveal any secrets the only secrets are that this is just about 100% false. Some of my favorite actors are in it and they do their usual good jobs so there is that.

A spectacular failure in terms of entertainment, substance, and credibility. The film throws together laughable conspiracy theories in a desperate attempt to hook the audience, but it ultimately collapses under its own weight. The soundtrack is weak, and the editing, transitions, and chase scenes feel forced and artificial. I wouldn't recommend this movie when there are far more compelling and thoughtful films that accomplish what this one so clearly fails to do.

The pacing is awfully wrong compared to the book. It breaks the immersion and really takes me out of it. Still nice to see the actions and settings from the novel - just not fitting quite well.

Definetly my favorite movie from Ron Howard, by far, but also the story i'm passionate about the thesis that presents and I could relate more with this propossal than the actual religions around the world.

I think it was marvelous. I watched it for the fifth time and as always, couldn’t tear myself apart. And this from someone who rarely sticks with a movie longer than five minutes. Beautifully directed and awesome acting. Definitely among the top 20 best movies I have ever seen.

A good idea on paper, but in practice the film tends to be too long (perhaps the shorter version is better). Many moments are drawn out, even tedious; historically, it's a disaster, even if it's fiction. The last 30 minutes were more enjoyable. In short, it's not unpleasant to watch, but if you haven't seen it, you're not missing anything particularly important.
