The contrast between the familiar image of Harvey as the brash, above-it-all funnyman we've come to love over the years and the suddenly vulnerable soul we now see up on the on screen is unusually endearing and, ultimately, winning.

Original King of Comedy Steve Harvey returns to the concert stage with a hilarious new stand-up film, DON'T TRIP...HE AIN'T THROUGH WITH ME YET. Filmed live at Bishop TD Jakes' popular gospel event known as MegaFest, the six-time NAACP Image Award winner playfully pokes fun at everything from the rituals of a church service to the interesting characters in the congregation. Opening in movie theaters on March 17, 2006, Harvey brings his side-splitting observations to New York, Chicago, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, Camden, Shreveport, Charlotte, Kansas City and Columbia/Charleston, S.C. in this special filmed performance. DON'T TRIP...HE AIN'T THROUGH WITH ME YET is being released through CodeBlack Entertainment. In DON'T TRIP...HE AIN'T THROUGH WITH ME YET, Harvey continues to relate his unique views on church, children, African-American culture and families. The faith-based community has enjoyed Harvey 's spin on "church life" since he began participating in MegaFest over three years ago. Harvey retains his "keep it real" attitude while delivering hysterical insights on everyday situations. -- © Codeblack Entertainment, LLC. [More]

Reviews for Don't Trip...He Ain't Through with Me Yet
Don't Trip...He Ain't Through With Me Yet! is the most decisive "Amen!" that the crafty and dapper Steve Harvey can get short of being baptized in the Nile River.
Harvey's first steps down this deliberately wholesome path are shaky.
Harvey's sly, observational humor is on view in Don't Trip . . . He Ain't Through With Me Yet.
It's not very Christian for Harvey to ask his fans to pay multiplex ticket prices for a shoddy film that is barely feature length.
I don't equate toothlessness with clean language, but Harvey seems to.
You may be left wondering, When the show is this short (78 minutes) and the comedy this sanitized (0 expletives), why not put it on TV instead of in theaters?
Can Christian comedy be outrageous? Yes, as Steve Harvey shows in the best parts of Don't Trip ... He Ain't Through With Me Yet.
Don't Trip... amounts to a revival meeting with Harvey as both the pastor and the object of worship.
