This adaption not only failed to follow the source material, but the cheesy dialogue, plot, choppy editing and pacing and wooden and stale performances made the live action film rathet clumsy. See more red t @RT43513976 01/09/2023 Well....it's better than the Super Mario Bros. Movie but that's not saying much, but also not as good as the 95' Mortal Kombat relatively speaking. The acting is bad, once Satori is killed the quality of the acting takes a big step down the rest of the film with the two leads feeling clueless half the time rather than charming. The cinematography is bad filled with bad over the top camera angles, cheap looking practical effects, bad CGI, and sets that don't fit well together. This can't decide set wise if it wants to go for a RoboCop type of vibe or a Kung Fu Kids Comedy half the time. The music is not good being over the top and eaggerated at worst and perfectly generic and forgettable at best. The editing is Bad along with not very good pacing. Half the time things just happen like the Boat chase or go on way too long. As stated previously this doesn't know what kind of film it wants to be and struggles for direction constantly with a bad plot. It makes you roll your eyes half the time at how stupid it is and the other half how badly its done. Skip this even if your a fan of the Video Games. See more Read all reviews
