Mega City One is a vast, violent metropolis where felons rule the streets. The only law lies with cops called "judges," who act as judge, jury and executioner, and Dredd (Karl Urban) is one of the city's most feared. One day, Dredd is partnered with Cassandra (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities. A report of a terrible crime sends Dredd and Cassandra to a dangerous area controlled by Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), a drug lord who will stop at nothing to protect her empire.

It was boring and a bit corny at times. Perhaps I dont have a full appreciate for this video game made movie but for it to be action sci-Fi it was not giving excitement or intrigue. Would not recommend.

This movie is top tier for many reasons. Usually action sci-fi movies don't interest me too much but this one deliveres a unique experience with nearly non stop violence and gore. Has interesting qualities that only exsist within this universe. The slow-mo narcotic angle is really well used adds a really neat edge to some one of the fight scenes along with a very cool ending utilizing the narcotic. Another aspect is Anderson being a psychic. Makes her a incredibly interesting character. Dredd is really good as well. He's just an absolute beast. Ma-ma is a very well fleshed out villain and when they do the exposition dump on her it actually works and makes you realize how high the stakes are for the main protagonists. Lots more I loved but I'd say watch it 100% and enjoy the ride!

Amazing. I used to read the comics growing up. The original film was ok, but this one really captured how the judges were portrayed in the comics with an almost lack of empathy to those that broke the law... I'd say this film is in my top 10
