Critics Consensus

Eragon is a fantasy epic that lacks any magic, brought down to earth by unconvincing world-building and a litany of stars who seem bemused by the material.

Paul S @PManRager 1d While I haven't read the book, I still think this was a lackluster movie, with poor storytelling, and it felt incredibly long and incredibly short at the same time. Despite its flaws, it's not the worst movie I've ever seen, and there were a lot of action sequences I liked. Saphira was designed beautifully, and the best moments of the movie were when she was on the screen. I could see fantasy and adventure fans enjoying this, but there are definitely better movies out there. Movie is terrible compared to the book. See more Rasta M @RT37814994 Mar 2 Hands down the WORST film i've ever seen, and probably ever will. This movie is beyond words it's so bad.
