Caryl is engaged to be married to Fenella, a wealthy socialite, while Sebastian is an unrepentant womanizer. One day Sebastian gives shelter to Gemma, an impoverished young woman with a baby. Trouble starts, however, when Fenella's parents come to pay a surprise visit to their future son-in-law and assume that Gemma is Caryl's lover. They immediately flee to an Alpine resort with their daughter, forcing the trio to go after Fenella to try and explain the confusion.
