Director James Merendino is best known for his film SLC PUNK, but also made a film according to the strict standards of Denmark's Dogma group. He brings that sensibility and willingness to experiment to the slasher film genre with EVIL REMAINS. Mark is a graduate student writing his thesis on urban legends. He convinces his friends to accompany him on an investigation of a backwoods plantation where a pair of murders took place years before. But as the group discover more and more about the property and its former occupants, they find themselves in grave danger as well.
