The film charts McCain's early home life with his father, Admiral Jack McCain (Scott Glenn), follows him through his years of training in the Navy, and focuses on his harrowing years as a prisoner of war during the Vietnam War. The film is based on the memoir of the same title that was written by McCain himself. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

There's something engrossing about this Sen. McCain biopic . . . and something that makes you want to do more with your life, to get involved with a cause.
This TV movie is based on the book written by Senator John McCain describing his 5 years of torture when he was a POW in Vietnam. Regardless of your political affiliation, there's no denying he is a patriotic and honorable man.

PRETTY GOOD. NICELY ACTED, BUT IT JUST HAS THAT MADE FOR TELEVISION LOOK I HATE. I FOUND IT VERY DISTRACTING. WELL PHOTOGRAPHED.
