Alex Browning is embarking on a trip to Paris. He experiences a premonition -- he sees the plane explode moments after leaving the ground. Insisting that everyone get off the plane, Alex and seven other people are forced to disembark. All watch as the plane actually explodes in a fireball. He and the other survivors have briefly cheated death, but will not be able to evade their fate for very long. One by one, these fugitives from fate fall victim to the grim reaper.

The idea that the killer isn’t a person chasing its victims around but the literal concept of Death hunting down the plane survivors who should have died keeps things intriguing. You aren’t spending the whole movie wondering when the killer is going to pop out of the shadows and exact its revenge on its victims. The audience still gets to have an aspect of the unknown because the film looks closely in on every little thing, every detail that occurs prior to the death of the survivor, from a knife dropping all the way to an explosion. I enjoyed the anticipation from trying to figure out what event that they were focusing on was going to be the one that led to the survivor meeting their maker. This may not necessarily be exactly what you are expecting in a horror film, but it is a good one nonetheless. See more Read all reviews
