NICOLE H @RT27254676 01/17/2025 It is entertaining and the premise is good, but there are MASSIVE glaring flaws that make it ludicrous. I think the enjoyable part of zombie movies - the scare factor if you will, is when they are so realistic we start wondering how we would handle that situation in real life. You don’t want to be distracted by thoughts like, “There is no way they could shoot that many bullets on a plane and not cause the side to blow out,” or “That missile should have caused a much bigger hole.” So I would to see someone redo this movie with more realistic solutions. It was fun to see the creepy Ghostbusters dude who always said, “He is Viggo! We must bow down to him” in a different film. The movie overall is what you can expect when a studio is trying to cash a drying genre. The biggest problem is trying to follow a formula that works in most zombies films: survivors, victims, govt, military, scientists, and small hope of escape. For the scope of this movie, it was too much for the context, on a plane. The movie felt more like a string of pictures/scenes strung together that did not have a continuity and smooth flow. Each scene seemed to be picked from other movies such as Snakes on a Plane, Air Force One, etc. Hell, they had a reference to Tiger Woods and his eventual affair. That was pretty good. Characters were one dimensional and stereotypical. Acting was flat and the CGI along with special effects were 3rd rate. There were lots of problems with this movie and I wonder if the 86% fresh tomatoes was a mistake. It is really was a horrible movie and should have been corrected to 15% rotten. I think the audience reviews were spot on. Despite all the problems, flaws, issues, mistakes, non-identifiable characters, and all the other stuff, I still find myself watching it over and over. Maybe it's just the love and attraction I have for any and all zombie flicks that I have.
