Probabilmente, oltre alle storie degli studenti e al buon rapporto creato tra vita privata e professionale della protagonista, ad essere vincente è soprattutto il connubio che si crea tra riscatto sociale dei ragazzi e storia dell'Olocausto; due mondi lontanissimi ma allo stesso modo drammatici che si uniscono per creare un prodotto di riscatto sociale che colpisce nel segno ed emoziona, senza paura di essere troppo melodrammatico. See more Chris B @Papa13070 May 13 It is seldom you come across a movie that is actually awe inspiring, the people the stories, the feelings, and it's based on a true story. No matter how many times I watch, Freedom Writers always makes me think of their stories. The stories of these kids are so real and so compelling, and one woman standing in the thick of it all, trying to make sense and help. you can't help but feel compassionate. That one woman would go through so much to change peoples lives. it's amazing and wonderful. Hilary Swank was incredible in this film. Highly Recommended! See more Dakota H @bakintoast Feb 15 There's so much heart and obvious care in this movie's production. Anything less than 5 stars would be an insult. I don't know if the low-star reviewers are insulted or jaded, but this isn't some shallow-perspective flick about the POC. It doesn't solve the problem, but it's an honest interpretation of a plight many face, to this day. I'd rather this movie exist and not be perfect than it to never have been created. The majority of my opinions aren't intractable, and I pride myself on that flexibility. The idea that this movie isn't a positive influence, culturally, is the exception. I can't imagine the conversation that would have to take place to convince me this film isn't an icon. See more Read all reviews
