The film is lighthearted, with many funny moments and some emotional ones as well. It's definitely worth watching. The jokes pretty much always land (unless you don't have a sense of humour) and although it may not be quite as good as home alone, who cares its an enjoyable watch. I think my favourite thing is how the characters play off each other, Ray and Timmy's relationship really comes though and you can see the progression quite well, ending in a satisfying way. I remember seeing parts or most of this when I was a kid 5,6,7 years old and didn't remember much. so when I saw a nice copy of it on vhs at a local thrift store I grabbed it. Being mostly a horror fan I haven't gotten into or enjoyed non Horror movies for quite some time . Popped that sucker in and within 10 seconds I was watching this until the end. Maybe I'm just a sucker for 90's movies or 80's ☺️ but I enjoyed this . I can imagine that life style having a son of my self and yes ted danson is quite harsh to his child and can be totally unlikeable I found the conclusion to almost bring a tear to my eye. You get the classic funny gangster sidekicks and a little romance. This movie DOES NOT try to be like home alone at all.. I think they played the kid side and adult side of this movie really well and they just don't make them like they used too this little flick has more thought put into it then most block busters out today See more 08/26/2022 Really confused by all the low ratings.
