When an office full of New York City real estate salesmen is given the news that all but the top two will be fired at the end of the week, the atmosphere begins to heat up. Shelley Levene (Jack Lemmon), who has a sick daughter, does everything in his power to get better leads from his boss, John Williamson (Kevin Spacey), but to no avail. When his coworker Dave Moss (Ed Harris) comes up with a plan to steal the leads, things get complicated for the tough-talking salesmen.

This film captures the brutal, high-pressure world of sales with razor-sharp dialogue, unforgettable performances, and an atmosphere that feels almost claustrophobic in the best way possible. Every scene is charged with intensity, showcasing how ambition, desperation, and ego collide in a cutthroat environment. The writing is top-tier, the pacing never wastes a moment, and the performances elevate already brilliant material into something iconic. What makes it especially remarkable is how timeless it feels—still just as gripping and relevant today as when it was released. It’s a film that demands attention and rewards it fully. A true classic from New Line Cinema and easily a 10/10 experience.
