Tom Spader (Glover) is a successful attorney who decides to cement his upper-class status by moving his family into a posh suburban neighborhood, where he and his wife Mabel (Goldberg) do their utmost to blend into their new, all-white surroundings. But just when the Spaders think they've finally been accepted, another African-American family moves in next door with their lottery winnings and a feisty matriarch (the outrageous comedienne Mo'Nique). As the Spaders attempt to distance themselves from these lowbrow interlopers, they begin to realize just much they've lost touch with themselves and their roots. [More]
