In the 1930s Manchuria, an encounter on a train triggers an epic crusade for a treasure map, prompting a marathon chase in hot pursuit of the loot. Do-won, "The Good", is a bounty hunter, out to track down Chang-yee, "The Bad", a charismatic hit man attempting to steal the map from a military official. However, the ruthless Tae-goo puts a hitch in both their plans when he secures the map for himself.

Whilst never taking itself too seriously, this riotous and rollicking Sergio Leone-inspired Korean Western is serious fun.

The sort of film where people barrel through doors only to be blasted back through them. It also boasts bone-deep brutality in a way that belies its buoyancy but never betrays it — invoking desperation inherent to Manchurian life under multiple thumbs.

An absolute wild hilarious spicy Korean western international film and is actually a blast from start to finish and yes the title and the style does have the same vibe of The Good The Bad The Ugly but is absolutely very different and it's own thing.

South Korea's take on the Western genre, "The Good, The Bad, The Weird" is very open with where its influences came from & it's another wild ride from director Kim Jee-woon. "The Good, The Bad, The Weird," is a highly enjoyable action adventure of goofball antics featuring bounty hunters, criminals & a combination of gangs, all battling it out for personal goals & treasure. With plenty of humour & big action set pieces from Kim Jee-woon, I was kept entertained throughout. Jee-woon teaming up again with the always impressive Lee Byung-hun, with the added talent of some of South Korea's finest Song Kang-ho & Jung Woo-sung.

Generally funny, and mildly entertaining. I think this film is suppose to have some sort of allegorical point to it but not being versed in Asian history that completely flew over my head. The film in general though was okay. The story did enough to keep me interest though nothing felt particularly deep, or really gripping. Average film that is worth the watch if you are looking for a lighthearted action comedy.
