It's a charming story not challenging but with enough substance and a bit of humour laughing at the British and French alike from a view point of a director and caste that loved the subject matter and had a great time filming. An understated element is the way American and French music is woven into the score to enhance the feel. Crowe, Cotillard and the supporting cast are excellent. See more Gregg S. J @Cmonie Feb 10 Anyone criticizing this movie is full of themselves. It’s a nice movie about generational wisdom, memories, regrets, redemption and lost and future love. It is set in London and beautiful Provence and makes one ponder what the f…k they’re doing wrong watching the movie and not living some aspect of it. Rotten Tomatoes missed on this one.
